About Barbara Culliton
Ms. Culliton provides consulting and advisory opportunities in the following areas: Advisory Services for Private Sector or Not-for-Profits, Writer Development and Mentoring, New Publication Development, Award Program Development, Public Speaking and Analysis of book, article, or other proposals. Her freelance writing has appeared in numerous publications including the New Yorker, The New England Journal of Medicine, Daedalus, the Bulletin of the History of Medicine, and the American Journal of Medicine. Throughout her professional life, Ms. Culliton has been active in science journalism as president of the National Association of Science Writers (1981-1982), and president of the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing (1985-1989). Ms. Culliton, a former member of the advisory committee for the Knight Journalism Fellows at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has been a journalism advisor to the Fulbright Scholars program and an advisor to Sound Print, a radio series broadcast on public radio.
